How are eligible buildings chosen?
Approximately 700,000 Fibre to the Node (FTTN) and Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) premises will be eligible to connect to full fibre by December 2023. We’re also aiming to provide the opportunity to most homes and businesses in the FTTN and FTTC network to connect to nbn full fibre by the end of 2025.
To be eligible to upgrade through this program:
• Your building address has FTTN or FTTC already installed. You can check the technology at your location by checking your address here
• Your building consists of five or more units/ apartments and is managed by a Body Corporate
• The applicant will need to be an authorised representative of the Body Corporate/Owner’s Committee
Eligibility to connect to full fibre will also depend on a number of other considerations, such as the complexity of the build and environmental factors which are assessed by nbn on a case-by-case basis after your building has been registered.
If your building meets the above criteria and your building is still showing up as ineligible after you check your address, you can still register your building for updates and we will notify you when your building becomes eligible.
